The first step to becoming a PPC Candidate will be to acquire a criminal background check. We have set up a link for applicants to get discounted criminal background checks online. This cost will be covered by you, the applicant, but represents the only monetary cost associated with this application. Through the background check portal you will be required to provide personal details, consent and ID verification. The results will be sent to PPC HQ automatically.
If you already have a recent criminal background check from within the last 6 months, that can be used within the application instead. ​
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need experience to run with the PPC?
Not at all - many PPC Candidates have no political or campaign experience, whatsoever! While experience is an asset, it is not a requirement. We encourage anyone to apply, no matter your level of experience or background!
Is training provided?
Absolutely! Our team of campaign professionals regularly hold training sessions geared towards every level of experience.
Whether you're a political novice or a seasoned pro, our training portal has a wealth of resources to help you run an effective campaign with the PPC!
How much time do I need to devote?
PPC Candidates are expected to treat their candidacy as a part-time job. You will be fundraising, signing up members, organizing and hosting events, and leading a cohesive campaign team.
Bottom line: you'll get out of your campaign what you put in!
